Steady Growth and Intelligent Transformation: Liancheng Builds a Smart Pump Manufacturing Factory

As digitalization and intelligent technologies continue to reshape modern industry,
Shanghai Liancheng (Group) Co., Ltd. is actively advancing its transformation toward
smart pump manufacturing.

By aligning its development strategy with industrial technology trends, Liancheng is
building an intelligent factory that integrates production equipment, information systems,
operational management and data-driven decision-making. The project covers smart factory
architecture, intelligent equipment, information system integration, digital lean
manufacturing and transparent production management.

Liancheng Smart Factory Transformation

The project is being implemented in three phases, moving from connected factory architecture
to intelligent equipment, lean production and transparent production management.

Liancheng continues to advance intelligent manufacturing across production, testing,
management and equipment connectivity.

Phase One

Building the Smart Factory Architecture

Connecting business systems, production equipment and operational data.

Integrating OT, IT and Data Technologies

Liancheng uses Industrial Internet of Things and digital technologies to connect the
business application layer, platform layer, network layer, control layer and infrastructure layer.

This integrated architecture breaks down information barriers between enterprise management
systems and automated production equipment. By combining operational technology, information
technology and data technology, Liancheng can integrate multiple information systems and
digitalize the entire process from business operations to pump manufacturing.

The smart factory architecture helps improve manufacturing flexibility, strengthen process
control and support coordinated management across departments and production facilities.

  • Intelligent equipment control
  • Centralized data platforms
  • Integrated information systems
  • Transparent and visualized operations

This connected model provides a stronger digital foundation for efficient and controllable
pump manufacturing.

Smart Cloud Platform and Network Integration

Liancheng has developed an edge data acquisition terminal in cooperation with a
telecommunications provider. The terminal connects with the central PLC control system
of complete water supply equipment and collects operating data including equipment
start and stop status, liquid-level data, solenoid valve feedback and flow data.

The collected data is transmitted to the Liancheng Smart Cloud Platform through 4G,
wired networks or Wi-Fi. Configuration and monitoring software can then obtain data
from the cloud platform, enabling digital twin monitoring of pumps, valves and complete
water supply systems.

This allows equipment operating conditions to be displayed and monitored digitally,
providing technical support for intelligent operation and remote equipment management.

Connecting CRM, ERP, MES and WMS Systems

Liancheng’s system architecture connects sales management, production planning,
manufacturing execution, warehouse operations and product delivery.

CRM  →  ERP  →  MES  →  WMS  →  Delivery

Sales teams across China use the Fxiaoke customer management platform to manage customers
and business leads. Sales order information is collected in the CRM system and transferred
to the ERP system.

The ERP system combines requirements from sales orders, trial-production orders and inventory
preparation to generate a preliminary production plan. After manual scheduling adjustments,
the plan is imported into the MES manufacturing execution system.

During production, the workshop prints material requisition and outbound documents through the
WMS warehouse management system. Workers collect the required materials, while warehouse
personnel verify the documents and update inventory records.

After production is completed, finished products are transferred into warehouse inventory.
The sales department then issues shipping instructions, and the warehouse arranges product
delivery. This creates a coordinated information flow from customer demand to production
and final shipment.

Phase Two

Intelligent Equipment and Digital Lean Manufacturing

Strengthening production, testing, remote maintenance and resource coordination.

Applying Advanced Pump Manufacturing Equipment

Liancheng has established a national Grade I water pump testing center and introduced
more than 2,000 sets of advanced production and testing equipment. These intelligent
manufacturing and testing facilities support machining accuracy, production efficiency
and pump quality control.

  • Horizontal machining centers
  • Laser rapid-prototyping machines
  • CNC vertical lathes
  • Vertical CNC turning centers
  • CNC horizontal double-sided boring machines
  • CNC five-face gantry milling machines
  • Moving-beam gantry milling machines
  • Gantry machining centers
  • Universal grinding machines
  • CNC automated production lines
  • Laser tube-cutting machines
  • Coordinate measuring machines
  • Dynamic and static balancing instruments
  • Portable spectrometers
  • CNC machine tool clusters

Expanding the Information Management System

With ERP serving as its core business management system, Liancheng has expanded its digital
infrastructure by introducing CRM, WMS and OA platforms.

  • Industrial IoT smart cloud platform
  • MES manufacturing execution system
  • Digital factory management cockpit

Together, these systems establish an information support framework covering customer order
requirements, supplier coordination and factory production operations. The integrated digital
system also supports intelligent remote maintenance and lifecycle management for complete
water supply equipment.

Developing Digital Lean Production Management

Liancheng uses its MES platform together with QR codes, big data and other digital technologies
to support precise production task assignment. Manufacturing tasks can be allocated according
to resource availability and performance requirements, enabling dynamic configuration of
personnel, equipment, materials and other manufacturing resources.

Through big-data analysis, lean production modelling and visualization, the digital lean
manufacturing platform improves information transparency among managers, employees, suppliers
and customers. This data-driven approach helps the company coordinate production resources
more effectively and supports continuous improvement in smart pump manufacturing operations.

Phase Three

Transparent Production and Engineering Data

Making workshop operations visible across production processes, equipment efficiency,
product quality and employee performance.

Transparent Production Processes

Advanced digital technologies make every production step visible to factory managers.
From the moment raw materials enter the production line, their movement and processing
status at each stage can be recorded and monitored in real time. Whether the process
involves complex assembly work or precision machining, production information is no longer
hidden inside disconnected systems or operational “black boxes.”

Transparent Equipment Efficiency

Every machine in the workshop becomes part of a connected manufacturing environment.
Data relating to equipment status, operating hours, energy consumption and failure frequency
can be continuously collected and analyzed. This information supports timely maintenance,
longer equipment service life and improved production scheduling.

Transparent Quality Management

Quality data is recorded throughout the manufacturing process, from initial inspection to
semi-finished product inspections and final product verification. Quality fluctuations can
be traced to specific production stages and influencing factors, helping strengthen quality
traceability before products leave the factory.

Transparent Employee Performance

Employee performance during production is measured using clearly defined indicators.
The system can present information such as the number and quality of tasks completed during
working hours. This transparent performance management approach provides clearer objectives
and more visible feedback across manufacturing teams.

Moving Toward the Future of Smart Pump Manufacturing

Liancheng continues to explore new opportunities created by industrial reform,
digitalization and intelligent manufacturing.

Rather than treating digital transformation as an abstract concept, the Group is implementing
it across equipment connectivity, production scheduling, warehouse management, quality control,
remote equipment maintenance and performance management.

Through the continued development of its smart factory, cloud platform, MES system and digital
lean production capabilities, Liancheng is building a more connected, transparent and intelligent
pump manufacturing operation.

With Liancheng, water reaches higher and farther.
